Durrance Production. One 6:45 minute, color, silent, 16mm film containing footage of skiing on Aspen Mtn., filmed by Dick Durrance, during the winter of 1945-1946. The film was shot before Lift One was built. The footage includes the boat tow, Dick Durrance, people hiking/skiing/skinning up the backside of Aspen Mtn. as well as the frontside, miners at Midnight Mine, a picnic at Peanut Butter Ridge, waxing skis, and then lots of skiing on Aspen Mtn. including Tourtelotte Park, North American and Spar Gulch. Also shown are Steve Knowlton, Johnny Litchfeild, Friedl Pfeifer and a little ski racing footage in the last minute. May be B roll for the Durrance film "Aspen Album."
