The collection is composed of papers, maps, letters, newspaper clippings, photographs,
pastel caricatures, medals, and awards following John Litchfields’ time spent in Aspen
starting in 1945 to when he left, and then following various people/ friends who started in
Aspen throughout their lives until 2004. There are four scrapbooks, three photograph
albums, various papers and letters regarding the 10th Mountain Division, Red Onion
when he owned it, biographies on the people characterized in the Snuffy O’Neil
caricatures, and maps showing the missions of the 10th Mountain Division Campaign in
Italy.
