One audio recording of a conversation between Elizabeth Paepcke and author Bruce Berger, circa 1988. They discuss New Yorker founder Harold Ross, who was born in Aspen and visited the Paepckes in 1947. Excerpts from this conversation were included in Berger’s book “The Complete Half-Aspenite.” They also discuss people who came to the Goethe Bicentennial in 1949, the beginnings of the Aspen Institute, Walter Paepcke’s decision to separate the Aspen Institute from the Music Festival, how the scope of the Music Festival has grown so much that quality had been affected.
