A booklet with the handwritten title “Aspen Town Site” with twelve pages of lot and block numbers, claimants and “Right of Procession”. For the month of September, no year given- but appears to be original records of Townsite lots from 1881 for the Deanes Addition. A note on the inside front cover reads “You are hereby authorized to file the within instrument as the act of the Aspen Town and Land Company on receipt by you of an official notification of the dismissal of the protest advise filed in the law office at Washington by the Town of Aspen against the issuance of a patent to the county judge of Pitkin County for the townsite of Aspen.” It is signed J.M. Downing, Attorney at Law.
