Durrance Film. 1949 promotional film by Dick Durrance, titled either "Until We Meet in Aspen" or "Aspen in Winter". It includes early photos of the town of Aspen, showing remodeled homes (many done by architect Walter Frasier of Chicago) and guest cottages around town. The Hotel Jerome remodel can also be seen, with interior shots of the hotel. There is footage of the t-bar and children skiing on Little Nell, the Tipple, and a single chair lift up the mountain, as well as the Sundeck Restaurant. Race scenes include the race for the Gold Aspen Leaf, the first dual slalom ever staged, and ever-popular Easter Egg Ski Race for children. Included in the film are Gary Cooper, Walter Paepcke, Friedl Pfeifer, Fred Iselin, Klaus Obermeyer, Pete Seibert, Mike Magnifico, Stuart Mace, Gordy Wren, Jack Reddish, and Shady Lane.
