One 4" x 8.5" folded trail map of Aspen Mountain from the 1948-1949 ski season. The cover of the trail map shows several pairs of skis with tips pointed to the center of a circle with "Aspen Colorado, Skiing unsurpassed" on the front and an aspen leaf with a snowflake in the middle. The trail map also has information about ski school, the Hotel Jerome and the Four Seasons Club, along with information about new ski runs, including Ruthie's Run and the Snow Bowl, and the 1000 foot rope tow on "Thunder Hill," the very gentle slopes at the foot of Aspen Mountain at the top of S. Mill St. Inserted in the trail map is another brochure on lighter weight yellow paper titled "Aspen: Rates and General Information." It provides details about transportation and travel times to Aspen (via air, train, bus and car), services available in Aspen, lift ticket, ski school and hotel rates, a list of ski school staff and information about "Learn to Ski" Weeks.
